I don't ordinarily write reviews... so infrequently, in fact, I had to look up how to do it. As a non-traditional online college student who last took a math course thirty or so years ago, I find Blue's tutoring videos to be an indispensible learning tool. While a textbook and online course explain the theory behind a concept, he cuts right to the chase showing how to solve each question in plain no-nonsense language. More so, he demonstrates how to use the monstrously powerful TI-84 calculator to handle all the heavy lifting -- something I surely would not be able to figure out in a reasonable timeframe on my own. He's friendly, responsive, and customer-oriented - obvious to the observer that he loves his job and is great at it. Just a few minutes ago, I submitted my first calculus exam and got an A. Two weeks ago, I knew little about the material and feared it. Today (to my surprise) I actually enjoyed solving the exam problems. Blue, thank you so much.

Blue helped my son with Math 117, Math 118 and Math 141 at CSU and it was an amazing experience. My son felt lost and totally discouraged before he met Blue. I was struggling with my math 141 class before I met Blue. I originally had an F in the class after my first exam and thought I was going to fail this class. Then my friend introduced me to Blue. Throughout the semester and countless sessions I had with Blue, he helped me turn that F into an A. Blue is one of the best tutors for any college course and is definitely worth the money. He's a professional when it comes to any kind of math and helps explain any and all means and methods for any problem. He is an empathetic and relatable guy that anyone can get along with both in and out of his tutoring sessions. As a student with disabilities my learning style requires a clear, step-by-step instruction especially when it comes to math since it has always been my most challenging subject. Blue’s tutorials are easy to understand and provide a simpler way of doing math. He breaks problems down in a way that cuts time on solving—I took his pre-Calc Math 124 (entire course) tutorial and I am happy that I used his methods rather than the ones on the Pace course, they seem to make some of the problems more complicated than they have to be.*One important note: Pace does not provide instruction on how to use parts of the calculator for problems, this can lead to incorrect answers and just overall frustration, Blue is amazing for including these steps—it makes such a difference in your performance*Go with Blue!

I am a non traditional college student and it has been quite some time since my last math class. Never my strongest subject, I dreaded completing the required math courses for my major. I have struggled throughout my high school and college career catching onto math concepts as I never had a strong foundation. Blue not only helped me pass a pre requisite course in 2 DAYS, yes just TWO days, but he also was the reason I was so successful in my calculus course for engineers. During the Spring 2020 semester, we had to also transition to online learning and do everything remotely. I was so convinced I wasn't going to do well in calculus, but Blue emailed me before I even knew what to do. He had everything set up and laid out which made the transition so so smooth. When exams came around and doing them remotely, I didn't use my notes once. Blue prepared me for everything in this course, taught me the fundamentals of calculus and how to think of math in a way that made the objectives easier. I ended this semester with a very high B in calculus and ready to take on Calc 2. Blue's tutoring is the best, his skills are an investment for your own self, as I sincerely believe that tutoring in the present is so much more worth it than retaking courses. I can tell you from my personal experience of having many math tutors and knowing many people in the math department that no one teaches as well as Blue does!

A single session with Blue is like a week's worth of CSU calculus lecture. He is a Jedi Master of breaking down the steps and processes that most professors gloss over. His tips and tricks give you the essentials and the easiest path to the final answer, he taught me tricks on my graphing calculator that I had no idea how to use before. Blue will dedicate the session to whatever you want or caters to your course needs, but he has a great idea of what the course requires from his experience tutoring for years. I was really worried about taking math in college as I know it is something that I have never been great at. I tried to find people who could help me but I never found someone who explained it in a way that made sense. Then I found Blue, and the way he explains things is so easy to understand and it makes your life so much easier. I was very much struggling in the MATH 117 here at CSU on Pace math. I was not able to even complete many of the required assignments. My mom found The Math Man on google and I knew I needed to reach out and get help. After 5 sessions with him working on MATH 117 I was able to achieve an A in the course. I returned to CSU this semester after a decade hiatus, and was struggling in my first PACE course. Luckily I had a friend refer me to Blue for tutoring. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the material, and knows exactly how to explain things in a simple yet concise manner. In addition to private tutoring, I also purchased a package of his online tutoring videos which were also effective and easy to understand. At the beginning of the semester I was struggling with my PACe courses hard, I had to take my exams multiple times to actually pass and spend HOURS in the PACe center. Blue is awesome. He’s so helpful and makes math feel super simple. He’s very calm, nice, and patient. I had an F in Algebra but got an 87% on my first math exam after only a few sessions. Now I currently have an A in my math class because of tutoring. His online tutoring is legit, but meeting at CSU is very nice too. He’s very flexible with schedules, responsive, and can explain any math problem to you in a way that will make you grasp the concept! I purchased the videos for Math 125 and 126. This man has an undeniable talent for simplifying math. His videos are concise and right to the point. Typically around 3 - 5 minutes per problem.He teaches you exactly what you need to know to pass the test and nothing more. I was able to learn an entire unit of material in a few hours. If you struggle in math then his videos will be worth every penny.I can give no review regarding his private tutoring, but if it is anything as helpful as his videos then I would say five stars.

I met with Blue regularly during the semester I took Math 141 at CSU and I can confidently say I would not have done anywhere close to good in that class without the help that I received. He knows everything you will need for each test and can explain some topics in way that are a lot easier to understand than how you learned in class. I even managed to get 100% on one of my test which I had never done before and probably wouldn't have done without the help of Blue. I would highly recommend this tutor to anyone taking the classes he tutors for, its well worth the cost!

Blue is the sole reason I got an A in Calculus. I am not a math person and I was so stressed going into Calculus knowing I needed a B to get into the business school. He teaches everything to a standard that is so easy to follow along. With him there was no need to even go to class. I highly recommend using him as a tutor. I promise the money is so worth it. I would be failing the class if I did not have him. Math has never been so easy for me when i had him . A guaranteed A or B if you use him.
